Previously, when someone mentioned Romanesco, I automatically pictured this spiky, green cauliflower that could have featured in a "Jurassic Park" movie. Little did I know how delicious this unassuming vegetable would be. Here is a great recipe!

This is a nice dish to make using mostly ingredients from your pantry. Add some sour cream, a few tacos, grated cheese and you'll have yourself a Mexican meal. A jug of Margherita on the side would round it off well.

This was a common dish eaten by shepherds in the Calabrian region of Italy, the long and narrow peninsula, which forms the "toe". It is very quick and easy to make.
Baked Lamb sausage with Orzo pasta

Orzo, or commonly known as rice pasta is such a lovely shape to work with. It is mostly used in soup and thick stews. The secret to enhancing the flavour of the orzo is to dry toast it in a heavy-based frying pan beforehand. It's really delicious.

This is a great comfort food dish. It has a little of everything in it and the colours are quite appealing. The ground cinnamon sounds a bit odd, but it brings out the flavour of the lamb very nicely.
